4
ounces
cream cheese, softened (½ block)
1
cup
powdered sugar
8
ounces

1/2
cup
strawberries, sliced
12
blueberries
Instructions
Beat the softened cream cheese and the powdered sugar on medium speed for about 2 minutes. You want the frosting well blended with no lumps.
Fold in the cool whip and mix until smooth.
Cover the cake with a layer of icing using a spatula.
Add the remaining icing into a piping bag and attach Wilton decorating tip # 21.
Decorate: Squeeze the icing bag and let a small amount of the frosting come out. Stop squeezing as you pull straight back up to make a star shape.
Repeat that process all around the bottom edges of the cake.
Add the blueberries and strawberries to the cake to resemble the stars and stripes of the American flag.
Notes
If you don't have a decorating tip/bag, you can use a ziplock back and just wing it.
Instead of making the homemade cream cheese and cool whip frosting, you can use store bought.
Swap out the fresh strawberries and blueberries for your favorites.
Use homemade or premade angel food cake bars.
This recipe makes enough for 1 cake bar. If you need more, you can easily adjust the amount, double, or even triple the recipe.
Store the no bake flag cakes in the fridge, covered. Any leftovers can be enjoyed for up to 4 days.
