See below for a full list of ingredients and detailed instructions.

Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.

In a bowl, whisk the egg and water together. In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch, salt, and pepper.

Dip the chicken pieces into the egg mixture, then coat them in the cornstarch mixture.

Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the chicken in a single layer. Lightly spray the tops with more cooking spray.

Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and cooked through.

While the chicken cooks, prepare the sauce by combining orange juice, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic powder, ginger, and red pepper flakes in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.

Stir in the cornstarch mixture and cook until thickened, about 2 minutes.

Toss the crispy chicken in the sauce until well coated.

What To Serve With Orange Chicken

Air fryer orange chicken will go great with a side of rice or steamed veggies.

Storing & Reheating

  • Store: Store the leftover orange chicken in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. I like to save some of the sauce so that when I reheat the chicken I can add it in.
  • Reheat: Reheat in the microwave until the chicken is hot.
