  • Cakes
  • Muffins
  • Cupcakes
  • Scones
  • Donuts
  • Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional but worth it)

How to Make This Easy Glaze

Mix together the powdered sugar and 1/2 of the lemon juice into a mixing bowl. Slowly add in more lemon juice while stirring to get the consistency you want.

Glaze with Lemon Flavor

If using the vanilla, add the 1/4 teaspoon in. You can also use almond extract to give it a bit of an almond flavor.

Tips for Making A Lemon Flavored Glaze

  • If your glaze is too thick you can add more lemon juice.
  • If the glaze is too thin, you can add more powdered sugar.
  • If you want more lemon flavor, you can add more lemon juice or lemon zest.
  • Bring in more flavor by using extracts. Vanilla and almond are my favorites but you can experiment with other flavors.
