Preheat oven to 350 °F. Line an 8×8 baking pan with wax paper.
Melt the stick of butter in the microwave until fully melted. Mix in the brown sugar.
Whisk in the egg. Slowly add in the flour, baking powder, vanilla and salt.
Next, add the white chocolate chips and mix.
Bake for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick is inserted into the center and comes out clean.
To make the caramel: Pour sugar into a pan and heat over low-medium heat. Once the sugar has skimmed and darkened, add the butter and mix with a wooden spoon. Slowly add in the cream. Mix until it has a soft consistency. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the brownies.
