Patriotic Grilled Hot Dogs
Celebrate in style with these patriotic grilled hot dogs. Perfect for your July 4th or Memorial Day celebrations, these grilled all dogs are all dressed up with your favorite toppings for the red white and blue holiday.

- 8 hot dogs
- 8 hot dog buns
- Condiments

Instructions
- Preheat the grill. We like to have the grill at around 375°F to 400°F.
- Make shallow diagonal cuts in the hot dogs to help them cook evenly. Don’t go too deep or they will split in half.
- Grill for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until the hot dogs are heated through.
- Optional: Toast the buns. Use the grill to toast the buns. Lay them flat and cook for 1-2 minutes. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
- Assemble the dogs. Add the hot dogs to the buns and top with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- Use your favorite hotdogs. You can also substitute smoked sausage.
- Serve the condiments in festive red, white, and blue bowls so that everyone can spoon out their favorites.
- Add a variety of toppings for guests to choose from.
- Decorate the hot dogs with mini flag skewers or other patriotic themed toothpicks or skewers.
- Grill: You can use an indoor or outdoor grill.
- Buns: We love toasting the buns on the grill but this is optional.
- Store: Store any leftover hotdogs in an airtight container or sealed ziplock bag in the fridge after they have cooled down. Do not include the toppings, leave those for when you’re ready to eat.
- Reheat: Reheat the grilled hot dogs in the microwave, add the toppings, and enjoy.
