  • Preheat the grill. We like to have the grill at around 375°F to 400°F.
  • Make shallow diagonal cuts in the hot dogs to help them cook evenly. Don’t go too deep or they will split in half.
  • Grill for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until the hot dogs are heated through.
  • Optional: Toast the buns. Use the grill to toast the buns. Lay them flat and cook for 1-2 minutes. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  • Assemble the dogs. Add the hot dogs to the buns and top with your favorite toppings.

For the patriotic holidays, add some cute mini flag skewers. We found some at our local Dollar Tree but you can get them anywhere.
