How To Make the Hocus Pocus Snack Board

1. For the pretzels, you can buy premade chocolate covered pretzels and put candy eyes on them. You can also make your own by dipping the pretzels into melted chocolate candy and setting them aside to dry.

2. Cut one end of the large marshmallows with scissors into 10-14 pieces to resemble a broomstick. Insert a pretzel stick into the top of the marshmallows to create the broomsticks.

2. Fold thin slices of salami in half and roll them up. These rolled pieces of salami will become Winifred’s hair.

3. Unwrap the brie cheese and place it on a board. Cut off the crust from the top. Use the top pieces you just cut off to make noses.

4. Arrange the sisters on the platter. Add the sugar eyes to each and decorate the mouths with cherries. You can cut the cherries in half, smaller pieces, or just smush them together to shape them like lips.

5. To make Sarah’s hair, cut cheddar into strips and arrange them randomly. Use the cereal to create Mary’s hair. For Mary’s eyebrows cut a piece of cereal in half and place each one above the eyes.

6. Peel the tangerine and slice the apples thinly. Arrange the apples, cherries and tangerines. Finish the board with berries, nuts, marshmallows and pretzels like pictured above.

Tips & Notes

  • Apples: To prevent the apples from darkening, you can splash them with a little bit of lemon juice.
  • Pretzels: Either buy premade chocolate covered pretzels and put candy eyes on them or make your own. If you want to make your own colorful pretzels, you can dip the pretzels into melted chocolate candy and set them aside to dry.

Substitutions & Variations

  • Meats: We used salami but you can use any of your favorite thin meat.
  • Cheeses: substitute the brie and cheddar for other cheeses if you wish.
