Easy Christmas Present Brownies

Ingredients 

  • Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix – We’ll make the brownies just like you normally would so just follow the directions on the back. You’ll need oil, egg, and water for to make the box of brownie mix.
  • Butter, vanilla, powdered sugar, heavy cream, salt is what is used to make the frosting for the Christmas present brownies.
  • Melting wafers, sprinkles, food gel is what we will need to make the Christmas present ribbon and dots.
  • You’ll also want to use these mini bow silicone molds to make the bows. It makes it so much easier!

How To Make Brownies That Look Like Christmas Presents

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees according to the directions on the box.

Line a 9×9 inch pan with parchment paper. Make sure there is excess parchment paper hanging over the sides so you can easily lift the brownies out.

In a large bowl, mix the brownies according to the box. Pour the brownie batter into the 9×9 inch pan and bake for about 32 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Set aside to cool. The brownies will cool faster if you put them on a wire pack!

While the brownies are cooling, place each of the color melting wafers in their own microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second increments until chocolate is melted and smooth.

Place chocolate in silicone ribbon molds and then put in the refrigerator to cool for 5 minutes. After chocolate has set, remove from the mold.

To make the frosting, add the butter to a large stand mixing bowl with whisk attachment. Mix on medium speed for 2 minutes. Add the powdered sugar and mix. Next, add vanilla, cream, and salt. Mix on high for 2 minutes.

After the brownies have cooled, cut them into 9 equal pieces. You will turn the brownies over to decorate the flat surface.

Frost the brownies and decorate with red food gel, confetti sprinkles and chocolate ribbon to make it look like a Christmas present.

Tips & Notes

  • Use mini bow silicone molds to make the bows. It makes it so much easier!
  • Turning the brownies over and frosting the bottoms makes it easier to frost but you don’t have to do this. It helps give the brownies structure and they don’t end up falling apart on you when you eat them.
